The rooms are available in raft type and building type, and you can choose whichever you prefer. I stayed in a raft type. The atmosphere of being in nature was excellent. However, since you have to go down the stairs, I think the building type, which is located above, is better for those who are not good at walking (it's also closer to the parking lot). The raft type room was clean, equipped with everything necessary, and comfortable. Additionally, there is a hot spring across the river (you cross by boat). There are 15 outdoor baths, and it took about 3 hours to try all 15. The admission fee for hotel guests is 550 baht (650 baht for non-hotel guests). The variety of outdoor baths was impressive, and the one with Dr. Fish was particularly interesting. There are also three pools, including one with a water slide, so I thought the facilities were well-equipped. It’s a hotel where both children and adults can enjoy themselves. I recommend it.
As always, our reviews contain vital information for mobility challenged guests. This hotel is almost "perfect" if you make sure they know the guest can't walk or climb steps. There are rooms that can be reached step free ONLY until you reach the room. There is a step into the room and into the bathroom. We bring our own portable ramps because this is so common in Asia. (You can order inexpensive portable plastic ramps from"shoppe".) The rooms are spacious, but the bathroom is much too small and narrow for a person who can't walk or stand at all. They do not provide a bath or shower chair so bring your own if needed. My husband uses a mobility scooter. Using our ramp her had to back into the bathroom because it is impossible to turn around on there. The bathroom doorway is narrow we had to remove the armrests from his scooter to enter the bathroom. The glass shower door is hugely inconvenient and the shower does not have a handheld option. We made it work for 1 night, but the bathroom is actually challenging and potentially dangerous for a wheelchair guest. The rest of the property is very nice although some designated (and enforced) handicapped parking spots would be appreciated and offering a shower without glass (just a shower curtain) would provide a bit more flexibility for mobility-challenged guests. We have visited so many hotels in the Kanchanaburi area and this was "the best" in terms of accessibility in the area...minus the bathroom. We did make it work for 1 night, but it was risky.

The exterior of the room may not look very new, but the interior still meets the standards of a typical hotel. The breakfast is diverse and of good quality and delicious, but if elderly people come to stay, it might not be very convenient as the descent is quite steep.

“What a marvelous expereince!!”
My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel over the weekend. We traveled from Bangkok (where I work and live)to spend a relaxing weekend at the get-away. The location of the hotel far away from the main road, down the hills literally on the river is beautiful, if one doesn't have to worry about having to go out to eat. The room we were given had a superb view of the mountains and farmland outside, the wonderful lush green trees and vegetation all around, and the beautiful river Kwai flowing gently underneath. The floating cabins below added to the beauty from above. The most amazing thing was to see the clouds forming and bouncing around the hills. That was simply enchanting, especially in the morning after waking up, looking out the window and glass door of our room. It felt heavenly, just like the way heaven is often described in the Quran (with gardens and river flowing underneath)!! I wish we had planned for one more day and night stay so that we could enjoy the quiet, peace and beauty for a little longer!! For an artist or a poet, it is an ideal place to spend some time. But alas, I am neither an artist, nor a poet!! I can barely write a few words! The room was quite spacious and clean, the beds very comfortable. We really appreciated having sandals and umbrellas provided in the room. But I wish they had also provided tea bags for tea-drinkers like us, not just coffee. However, the only sore point was the restaurant and the food (for people like us). Nobody, not a single person, spoke any English. That was extremely frustrating for us, not being able to communicate what we wanted. To illustrate that - we went to the restaurant to have dinner. After we figured out from the menu what limited items we could eat (we are Muslims and cannot eat any pork products and avoid other poultry or meat items), we placed the order for a fried rice and fish curry. Within a reasonable time the food was delivered. That looked and smelled great and appetizing. Since we were going to share the food, we asked for two plates to eat on. The waiter didn't understand what we asked for. He called in another waitress, who seemed to understand what we needed. We kept waiting for the two plates while the food kept getting cold. After nearly 7-8 minutes had passed and the plates were not given, I thought they might have forgotten and myself waked over to the buffet table and got the two plates and started eating our food. A few minutes later, the waiter came back rushing with another order of 'fried rice' instead of the two plates I had requested!! Of course I was a bit upset by then and declined the additional food. This is what we call in English - 'Lost in translation'!! I also had difficulty communicating with the Front Desk staff at the time of registration. For a facility as large and rich as this one is, it is extremely frustrating not to be able to communicate in a global language like English!!! So, even though I would recommend this place to people for the wonderful location and view it offers, I would also recommend that the Management provides English language training to the staff to handle clients like us, or at least keep one staff at all times who can communicate in English (even if that is broken English) so that other customers do not have to go through the unforgettable laughable but serious experience that we had.
