"This is the best resort in Kanchanaburi. The view is stunning. The resort is only 15 minutes from the city center. It is very peaceful. Staff is very good. The food is standard not very expensive. One downside was the hotel network and tv system is internet based which sometime not working. But it is very minor because We went there for the view not TV. "

"Lovely grounds, comfortable rooms. The main issue we had was agoda said that children could stay free, but they couldn't and they tried to charge us. After 1 hour of sorting out Agoda actually paid for the kids and a room upgrade. Would highly recommend this hotel for the area. Need transport"

"We booked this last minute and as a family of 5 with small children it was perfect. The retreat is a colourful and magical place on a big area right on the banks of Kwae Noi. It is quite far from down town Kanchanaburi and is about 300 baht in a songtaow. There's a station past the bridge station called Wang Yen if you get the train to here it's much quicker to get to the retreat and if you. In fact the owner by email he can arrange a pick up as many from town don't know it. If you want to be close to amenities then this would be difficult. There's no shop close by as it's very remote. Just take things with you. We went into town two days and had dinner then picked up things from the 711. The peace and quiet and mountainous views make up for all of this. This isn't a resort for sitting by a bar. The menu is very Thai and limited but for us perfect. It is very quiet and there are staff on hand to serve if you ask. This isn't a big resort set up for catering to English speaking guests so don't expect this from the staff. They are lovely, kind and very helpful and try the best they can. The owner is on hand and speaks perfect English if there's anything you need. The rooms are great and we got upgraded for a great price. The design of the rooms is breathtaking. We stayed in the quadruple mountainous room and it was stunning. What makes this special place even more special is the owner. He is the most welcoming and friendly host and aims to really take care of his guests. As he designed this himself he takes great pride in sharing it with all and telling its story. He made the experience and our family holiday a real joy. We didn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of town we wanted the tranquility of Kanchanaburi. Sitting in the p with the relaxing music and sounds of nature all around looking out at the river words cannot do it justice. One of the most lovely unique places I've ever been. I live in Thailand and we will be back. I've stayed in different pl"

"The hotel is really nice, it is just at the river Kwai. The restaurant had a super view to the river. The swimmingpool is huge and warm. The staff was kind, but they was not able give me a map of Kanchanaburi. I guess it should not be a problem in a hotel. The room was nice, like on the pictures. The only negative regarding the room was a shower. We could shower only with very cold oder with hot water, there was not middleway. The breakfast is delicious with great selection. We tried the restaurant for dinner also, the food was good, but the portion was a little. "

"This was a great experience, normally we stayed for one night but we booked an extra night for good price. Rooms were perfect, clean, more than enough space, we have no complains at all! Pool was lovely and clean. Location is actually really nice and calm, next to the river. Breakfast was good. Dinner was also from very good quality for normal prices. The staff is so so friendly and helpful, unbelievable, our last day we needed to go to the airport and because they also had to go to Bangkok that day (3 hour drive) they even invited us to come with them in their van. They dropped us at the Airport link, which was very very convenient and made our trip extremely relaxing and pleasant to the airport. Overall, this is really recommended, not far from Kanchanaburi city but at a lovely quiet place (you can hire a motorcycle from the hotel). (ps: Elephant World not far from here is also a must do!) "

"Had a short but very nice stay at Tubtim Siam River Kwai Resort. The first thing I would like to mention is how genuinely friendly and helpful the staff are at this resort. I find that it is rare to find staff who take pride in and genuinely enjoy their work and it makes all the difference as a client. The resort itself is gorgeous. For someone like me who appreciates well kept nature this resort is a great place to stay. The gardens around the resort are incredibly well kept and looked after even include plaques naming all of the various types of trees. The pool area is very spacious and well kept as are the rooms at the resort which are incredibly comfortable and clean. The resort is located on quiet bank of the river Kwai which is enjoyable both during the day and night time. Its worth noting however that at night when the stars are out and its cool and breezy there is nothing quite like it. Definitely recommend this resort and look forward to staying here again. "
