"We spent amazing time at Islanda, although we must warn– I you are looking for a place that's close to anything, that's not the hotel for you. If you want quiet, a different view than ot her places in Krabi, great swimming pool and a very pleasant atmosphere at all time – Islanda is the place for you. Here's a few points about the hotel: 1. When we got to the not-very-fancy room, we found the bathroom was outside. It turned out to be the best thing. The air in Krabi is so good, never too cold, never too hot, and a simple shower turned out to be a soothing experience. 2. The location is bad – it’s about 40 minutes far from Krabi town, and to get there you need to take a TUK TUK, and than a long tail boat. Overall, it will cost you about 500 baht. The village that Islanda is located in is amazing, very pastoral and deserted, and for us it was perfect. Take in consideration that the food in the hotel costs much more than the average thai places (although in western standards it's still very cheap). The hotel arranges all kinds of day-trips to places, but that's also a bit more expensive. So the problem is not really the location, but the fact that everything else turns out to be more expensive. 3. The swimming pool is amazing, the island itself that the hotel is on (Koh Klang) is beautiful and even the 40 minutes ride to the city is something you enjoy doing. So in that matter, the location is not a problem. Everything was tasty and beautiful, and we didn't feel like we're stuck on some island with nothing to do. 4. What is there to do? On one day, we took a long tail boat trip around the island, so the mangroves that grow in the water, and ate in a very special fish farm in a village. The other day we climbed up the tiger cave temple and to get over the muscle ache after climbing 1237 stairs, we got a massage in the hotel. This also costs a lot, compared to other places, but it was more spa-like, and it was just us in the room."

"Loved this place...would happily spend some more time there. It all appears very new and the rooms have been very well designed and decorated. Great if you want to have a quiet place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle. Very tranquil...an amazing way to wake up...just open your doors and have a view of the yachts and listen to a variety of birds twittering away, fish splashing and one or two long tails heading out for the morning catch. Just perfect. Notes for Staff: Ways to improve: Staff weren't always available...no one on the end of a phone when we had wifi problems and struggled to find someone on reception to book us a taxi. There were lots of cleaners around who eventually found reception staff for us. The room was beautiful and clean but there were a couple of trails of ants on the kitchen work surface and around the shower floor - maybe just check the room before moving someone in. Wifi needs a Booster installing."

"we planned to stay at nisarine homestay for just a day, but we decided to stay a day longer because we found the place so good! located on a fisherman island close to krabi town, a very quiet place surrounded by nature. The owner were very kind, welcoming and friendly with us and our children, they invited us for a delicious dinner on our first night, showing us how to prepare thai dessert!! And breakfast was faboulus too! plenty of various food, plus a taste of a special kind of rice they just have in the island. rooms and toilets were clean and confortable, and i personally found the place special beacuse every corner was tidy and decorated with so much care! If we will come back in Krabi, we will definetly spend some more days at Nisarine again. Very much recommended!!!"

"I must say, for the cost of the private room included hot water, this accommodation is fantastic. Arriving from Koh Samui with the bus , they came to pick me up for free from the bus station. They gave me a room on the fift floor with balcon , every thing was clean. This hostel is run and managed by a single mother, and she look after her parents as well doing the cooking and the reception guests and the tour travel. So people winging about anything , my advice is spend more money and you get better hotel. "
