“Lovely setting and experience ”
This is a thoughtfully designed and well-kept guesthouse on a fairly quiet stretch of the Khwae Noi River, a river I've visited 10+ times and upon/near which I've stayed at several properties. Pros: +amenities and cleanliness among the top of any rafts I've stayed on in Thailand +Quiet, tranquil location away from any street noise +Thoughtful, lovely design +Food is quite good, with dinner and breakfast included in the price of the room +Complimentary rafting activity +I stayed at a time when the owner was present, and she is a gem. Having met her, it's easy to see why the place is so thoughtfully designed and well-kept. Cons: -Albeit peaceful, this stretch of the river is not particularly scenic. You cannot see any mountains or cliffs from the raft rooms or restaurant. -Lighting on the raft is very bright at night, all night. Except for when the generator flickers, and then one can get woken up by the lights turning off and on again. This bright lighting surely has safety benefits and would be preferred by some, but I'd rather have a darker setting for enjoying the raft experience. Overall, I'd rate the experience 4.5/5 stars and would gladly return.
